Cooking Ball by designer Laetitia Fourquier one of the design that take part in Gaz de France Contest 2001, briefly the contest searching for kitchen or cooking appliance featuring natural gas for year 2020. Laetitia Fourquier come up with the Cooking Ball idea, a concept cooking appliance that will heat up any food from inside the food. Normally if you want to heat up any food, you must heat it up from the exterior using a pan, but with Cooking Ball you put the source of heat inside the food.
Here comes the idea of throwing heating balles in your food. Each ball contains a limited volume of natural gas and a remote switch and they can be place in an ordinary or specially designed pan. Totally secured because there is no flame and a very small volume of gas and have visual markers when it warms up. Hygienic, recyclable and very 100 % efficient because you have no waste of energy!
This concept is also about nomadism and ease to use.All the elements are designed to save time and energy and be remote controlled. So now you can have friends over, enjoy yourselves while doing something good for the Earth.
