How can you get some traffics and reader to your website or blog even you’re new blogger? How to increase the traffics and what should I do to attract some reader? I already offer a great content and the best of me in each post, but the traffics low as usual. Here I want to share 8 simple ways to advertise your blog for free.

Start it first.
To make other visit your blog, you must start it first. Don’t wait people come to your site. Visit other blog and drop a comments if you know the topic. There are ways to comments on other blog that you must know, but please don’t give comments that say something like, “Hi, nice site!” or “You had a great site” or ” Cool!” but give comments that relate to that posts. If you give a right comment sure they will visit your site because they also want to get know who are commenting.

Be a Good Commentator.
To attract other blogger with your comment, you must teach yourself to be a good commentator. Actually blog comment not just a “comment” because blog comments can be described as a conversation between bloggers, if its a conversation - you must show you’re good speaker to attract other attention. If you can show you’re good commentator, you will build an authority on the site you’re commenting. If you can build authority on other site, sure you can drive some traffics back to your site. Now you had a free “advertisement” on other site.

Ping your site.
This is a must have to all blogs. Your ping list has to be in order. Check out the recommended ping list based on Elliotblack.com and WarriorForum if you don’t have a ping list you are happy using. The first part of marketing and advertising your post starts with your ping list. Please make sure you had all the ping list and start using it. You also must know how to use all the tags, ping and all the social networking sites if want to gain some benefit.

Tag your post.
Ultimate Tag Warrior is a required plugin for any Wordpress blogs. It will allow you to categorize content based on a tagging engine. No doubt, Ultimate Tag Warrior is one of the most powerful Wordpress plugins that you should use. Each time you make a post, your can add your own keywords as a tags at the bottom of your post, automatically the tags will be set as Technorati type tags. You will get some SEO benefits from thousand of Technorati search if you use it right way.

Automatically bookmarked your site.
The deal is you must write a great post for “other” not just for you. If you already had that great post of the day, you can try to advertise the post to other with free bookmarking sites such as Socializer or Socialmarker if you want. To submit your post to these bookmarking sites, you can read Eches post on how to submit links to multiple social bookmarking sites. Actually all the social bookmarking sites are the traffics river, that you must do something to gain benefit from it.

Public Relations.
If you had a nice public relation skills, you can implement it to your blog also. The idea is you use social networking sites to get connected with other bloggers that have same niche and interest with you. Give a visit to other fellow blogs on that social network site, leave a comments also can help you build a networking. Join MyblogLog or Blogcatalog to get know other bloggers - you can join mine because I will give a visit to your site. Same goes to other social network, if you joining all these social network - make sure you’re participate on these site and not just promoting it on your blog sidebar.

Submit to Blog Directory.
There are thousand of blog directories in the Internet - you can choose to use whether free or paid listing. Submit your site as many you can to these blog directories. Almost of them are free but some of them you need to put reciprocal link back on your site before your site been listed in their directory. But I don’t like the idea to submit to all the reciprocal blog directories because all the button and code can harm your site slowly.

Promote your site in Outgoing email (Signature section).
Put your site link in your email signature. So each time you send or reply email, the receiver will see it. Most of the email such as Yahoo Mail, Gmail, AOL and other allow you to design unique “signature” to appear in all outgoing email you send. To make it appear and get enough attention, you must limit it to 6-8 line that included only your name, address, company name, site URL and one-phrase of your business tag. Remember, don’t ask other to click that link, just let it be there.
